My name is Monica …owner of Transparent Touches & Tags. I recently moved from southern Oregon to Spokane, Washington with my wonderful husband, Clint and our 2 adorable children, Caleb and Abby.

I've been scrapbooking for about 10 years now. I think I've always been a scrapbooker at heart though…as a child and teenager I saved ticket stubs, recital programs, cards, dried flowers and other various things to remember events and organized them in different magnetic albums!

I was an elementary teacher for 6 years before deciding to be a stay at home mom. I integrated scrapbooking into my classroom curriculum and once a week my students scrapbooked—creating great layouts incorporating their best work and various photos from the class camera. I found that you can scrapbook at any age and at any level. To make it a little easier, I began creating pages for my students with a title, photo box, poem and space for journaling. I used a lot of cute clip art and printed these on cardstock for them. It was a quick and easy way for them to put together their layouts. Later, I started printing on vellum and then tried transparencies! I fell in love with transparencies and began creating designs to use in my own scrapbooks. My friends began using them too and soon after that…. Transparent Touches & Tags began!
